New County Treasurers.

Yesterday Monday January Ist, the new corn y treasurers took their offices, all over the state. In this bounty Jesse C. Gwin retires after two terms of faithful and efficient service as treasurer of Jasper county. His terms extended over the period of four years atad nearly five months, the latter extension being due to a ohange in the law making all treasurers’ terms begin Jan. Ist. Mr. Gwin is succeeded by R. A. Parkison. He takes the office with an enviable reputation for business integrity and ability and will fill the position satisfactorily, to all. His deputy, for a while at least will be John Gwin, the retiring treasurer’s deputy.
