Our Oldest Res dent Dead.
Isaac Sayler, whose dangerous sickness was mentioned 1 ih ’ Saturdays items, died Sunday afternoon Dec. 81st. 1899, at 3:20 o’clock, at the home of his daughter Miss Ellen Sayler, in the northwest part of town. He had enjoyed bis usual excellent health until the be ginning of the present cold season about ten days ago, when he took a cold, but his serious siokness did not begin until the Wednesday before his death. His end was as peaceful and painless as the stopping of a dock when it runs down. He had reached the great age of 90 years 8 months and 13 days. We think Uncle Isaac was the oldest resident of Rensselaer, and the oldest man ih the county when he died, but not the oldest person in the county, as Reming l ton has a centenarian in Mrs. Wilkinson. His funeral will be held Tuesday, at 2 o’clock p. m., at Trinity M. E. church.
