The Monon Sued for $10,000.

A suit was filed in the Jasper Circuit Court, Friday afternoon against the Chicago Indianabohs and Louisville Ry. Company, in which damages are asked in the sum of SIO,OOO. The plaintiff is Burr H. Sheffer, of Parr, father of and also administrator of the estate of Wm. B. Sheffer. The latter was killed by being struck by a Monon train, on Sep., 30th last, while riding across the defendant’s track, at a crossing near Parr. The deceased was unmarried and the complaint states that his parents were largely dependant upon him for support, It is claimed that the railroad company, was remiss through failure of the engineer to sound the whistle or ring a bell as the train approached the crossing.
