NORTH BARKLEY,
John Borns is visiting his parents near Chatsworth, Ill., this week. Miss Edwards of Williamsport is visiting Miss Lena Hansford during holidays. Mr. R. Schofield is preaching at Fair Oaks during Xmas week. Joe Portmam, engineer of the C. and W. V. railroad, is visitng friends at Kankakee, Ill., this week, Mrs. Nelson is visiting at Wolcott a few days. Cora Morgan returned home Friday from Ill. where she had been working. Mr. Lewis father of F. Lewis the Gen. Supt., moved to Comer Saturday from New Jersey and will make this place his home. We like to see good business men coming here. Comer will be deserted during the holidays. Nearly all the railroad men have gone home or to visit friends, about 15 took the train north Saturday morning. We wonder why Mr. Brown has purchased so much new furniture we bet he will get a bran newhouse keeper ere long.
