Christmas Observances.

The Snnday sohools of the various churches had their Christmas entertainments Saturday evening. At the M. E. church there was a large tree, handsomely decorated, and from which a large number of presents for the children were distributed. An interesting literary and musical program was rendered. There was a large attendance. At the Christian church the presents were displayed and distributed from a “fire place” of “ye olde fashioned design.” There was also an entertaining program carried out. The attendance was large and the display of presents was extensive. At the Presbyterian churoh there was also a Christmas tree, a musical and literary program and distribution of presents. The attendance was large and the exercises excellent. The Missionary Baptist Sunday school also had a very sucessfnl observance of Christmas. They also had a tree, a treat for the children, and general distribution of presents, and a well rendered musical and literary program.
