The County Commissioners.
The hearing of the petition of Nelson Morris and others to form a drainage district in Jasper county, on the Kankakee river, under the Gifford drainage district law, was continued to the January term. On Tuesday, Dec. 19th the commissioners received sealed bids for stationery and blank books for the year 1900; and for supplies for the poor farm, for the Ist quarter of that year. John Eger was awarded the contract for groceries for the poor farm, for the quarter, at $96.20. W. H. Eger was awarded the contract for certain hardware for the same period for $11.25. All the other bids were continued to the January term.
