Bids For County Supplies.
Though the letting of the contacts for stationery and other supplies had been fully advertised, as provided by law, the bidders were scarce Tuesday, aud in only one or two classes was there more than one bid. On class No. 1, which includes the blank books and most of the large ruled blanks, The Bert Terry Stationery Co. bid $1,301.75. * For class 2, which includes pens, pencils rubbers etc. Bert, Terry & Co., bid $168.75. A. F. Long bid $236.30, but specified the qualities. In class 3, which includes all letter heads, envelopes, writing and pencil pads, legal cap, etc, and quite a large list of printed blanks, receipt books etc. L. Clark and G. E. Marshall, jointly bid $395:20. On drugs for poor farm, A. F. Long bid $2.85. All the above bids were continued to the January term. The blank books and stationary bids aggregate a little over $1,900. The council’s appropriation was $2,000.
