A Great Turkey Week.

Rensselaer still holds the primacy as the great turkey shipping town of the northwest Indiana} and the present week is said to have been the greatest turkey week for Rensselaer in all history. Our two poult sy handling firms, J, M. McDonald, on Front street and B. 8. Fendig, on Weston street, have both excelled themselves in handling turkeys, and have handled about equal numbers. Four big freight cars, loaded to the “gunnels” with dressed turkeys have been shipped out. The oars will average about 25,000 pounds or 2,000 birds to each car.

The Salisbury Orchestra Company consists of 13 artists, and will give the finest Musical Entertainment ever given in Rensselaer. Given under the auspices of the Rensselaer Lecture Club. Reserved seats 75 cents. General admission 50 cents. Ellis’ Opera House Wednesday December 20th.
