A Queer Sentence For Jacob Dluzak.

Monticello Herald. v The jury in the Dluzak cornstealing case, which has been on trial here for several days past, brought in a verdict yesterday morning finding the defendant guilty and fixing his punishment at $25 fine and two years disfranchisement. Unfortunately for the accused, tho finding of guilty carries with it a penitentiary sentence of not more than three nor less than one year, and such will have to be the sentence of the court unless a new trial is granted. The jurors disclaim any intention to send the old man to the penitentiary, and an affidavit to that effect is being circulated among them for signatures, with a view to securing a new trial.
