Uncle Bill N’s Cane and Paint.
Uncle Bill N. Jones, the champion bowler roller in the 75 year old class, of the whole United States, and all the rest of the world except Uncle Paul Kruger’s domain, and he seems, to bowl out everything that comes in his way, left on Monday morning for Bellwood, Neb., where he will pass the winter with his son. A pleasant incident connected with Uncle Bill’s departure was the presentation to him, by the members of the Rensselaer bowling Club, of an elegant gold-headed cane. The gold is the real 30 to 1, eighteen carat stuff, and Uncle Bill, it is needless to say, was mightily well pleased at the gift. In this connection we may mention the fact that nearly all our readers know already that the celebrated “Uncle Bill N.” brand of roof and wall paint is manufactured soley by Uncle Bill himself. The paint has been tested in Rensselaer and all other neighboring towns for many years, and has proven itself to be one of the best and must economical covering for roofs and outside walls ever invented, and there ought to be a great trade worked up for it, and as a starter in that direction Mr Jones is now figuring on a government contract and thinks he has good prospects for success. May his calculations not be disappointed.
