A Soldier’s Funeral.
The funeral of Capt. Frank W. Babcock was held Thursday, at the Church of God, as per previous announcement. The body arrived from Chicago on the 10:55 train, and on the same train Mrs. Babcock and her six children and her sister Miss Patton. The G. A. R. post had charge of the funeral and about 50 were at train to receive and escort the body to the Church. The religious services-were conducted by Elder D. T. Halstead, an old time friend and former pastor of the deceased. The funeral was largely attended. The following ex-soldiers acted as pall bearers: A. J. Abbett, John Greenfield, Burgess Dillon, B. L. Sayler, George Pumphrey, Henry Grow. As guard of honor, T. F. Clark, D. J Thompson, Al Ramey, S. E. Yeoman, J. W. Nelson. Interment was made in Weston cemetery.
