Mary Goble is on the sick list, Mrs. Dave Winslow left Monday for a two weeks visit to her daughte Mrs. Chas. Barker at Yeddo. Abe Bringle accidentally penetrated the palm of his left hand with a nail and the result is a very sore hand. Harvey Harmon, of Lexington, Ind. is visiting his brother Grant Harmon. Bro. Skinner preached a good sermon at the M. E. church last Suuday afternoon assisted by Rev. Abbett. Miss Mary Arnold has gone to Momence Ills., for an indefinete stay with Mr. and Mrs. John Mundon. Isaac Burns, of Brookston returned home Sunday, after a weeks visit to relatives in and near town. James Halleck returned last week from a seven weeks visit to relatives at Rochester and other points in New York. Can Manderville has sold his cigar and fruit store to Elias Brockus who has added a barber shop in connection. He will also have charge of the telephone exchange. Walter Crow, the World Famous ‘‘Hoosier Violinist and Character Impersonator” delighted a large audience at the school house last Friday evening, and was greeted with almost a continued round of applause. His character impersonations are very funny and his violin solos and imitations are revelations to violinists and students of music. John Liggett left Tuesday for Chicago. He will be joined there by a party of hunters, and will take a. bout a weeks shoot through southern Illinois. Mrs. Scott Herrington, of near DeMotte, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs. Thomas Fry.
