In Memory Of a Son.
In memory of our beloved son Willie B. Sheffer who died September 30, 1899. ODce again a loved one’s taken From this world of Joy and pain. Where onr spirits still must linger Till’death breaks this earthly chain. Still our h -arts cling round the dear ones, Soon ou earth they’ll dwell no more. While our souls long for the meeting With the loved ones gone before. Young was he ami full of promise Nearing manhood’s golden prime. Life so swoet and death so sudden, Taken in a moment’s time. In the dreary tomb his form lies, Mingling‘with its parent mould, And ne’er again shall mortal eyesight. His earthly loveliness.behold. In that heavenly world of angels In that home of early blest. Where a darling sister dwel.’etli. Ills gentle soul nath rest. Oh the joyful thought < f meeting In God’s mansion bright and fair; When our earthly toll is ended. We shall meet our loved ones there.
