FAIR OAKS.

Brace Moffitt speus Sunday at Hammond. Minnie Cleaver and daughter of Rensselaer, spent Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Lambert. Mrs. Peter Zea spent several days ast week with her brother at Monon. Squire Hayes and wife were called to Morocco last week on account of the sickness of their son. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Warren, Tuesday Nov. 21st, a daughter. Wm. Dill, of Buffalo, White county spent Monday with his nephew, Dora Cottingham. One of Elmer Moffitt’s girls is reported sick with scarletina since last Saturday. > Miss Mary Arnold spent Monday in Rensselaer. May Leach and Nina Hamacher of Virgie, spent Sunday with their friend Miss Lulu Clifton. Sam Clifton and wife are spending a several days this week with Mrs. Clifton parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Powell,near Mt. Ayr. Dr. Proudly has about recovered from his recent spell of sickness and has gone to Chicago to visit his sister. Several people are spending Thanksgiving with friends and relatives out of town. Willie, the 6 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Clifton, who had been dangerously sick with typhoidpueumonia for the past three weeks, died at the home of his parents last Saturday afernoon. The funeral was held Sunday at 3 o’olock p. mat the M. E. Church but owing to some misunderstanding Rev. Skinner who was to have conducted the reigious services failed to get here, therefore by request of the parents, >rief services consisting of reading of the scripture, songs and prayer were conducted by Mrs. Cottingham, Willie was a bright child and the idol of the household and will also be greatly missed among his many little : riends and playmates at school. Mr. ane Mrs. Clifton have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Interment in Fair Gaks cemetery.
