Wood-n Shoes.

They sell sabots,.or wooden shoes, at a store in Indianapolis, and the dealer says they are made in Grand Rapids, Hich., from basswood, by Belgians. They are used by people who work in canneries, where hot solder, acid, etc., on the floors ruin leather soles; by people who stand on wet floors, such as employes of creameries and washerwomen, and now and then a fashionable woman buys a pair to wear without stockings when she wishes to rest her feet.
