The com nj missioned awarded the contract for a new heathy apparatus at the count} 7 asylum to Charles Smith of Chicago, for S2BO. It is to be a combined hot air and hot »vater syetem. The bridge contracts are still held back. The bidders would none of them agree to complete the bridges before Jan. Ist. wheu. the county council goverment goes into effect, and the ..commissioners do not wish to complicate matters by having any contracts then on hands.
