A Remarkable Spire.
It has been decided to establish a meteorological observatory at the top of the great cathedral spire in Ulan, Germany. The Ulan cathedral is one of the most extraordinary in existence, on account of the great size and height of its single spire, which reaches an elevation of 528 feet. Although the great church was begum more than 500 years ago, the spire was not completed until 1890.
