Miss Ola Ltng returned home last Monday from a visit at Lafayette and Brookston. John Freeman of Newman, 111, is back in this vicinity again and will remain until after corn husking. Quite a numbsr of people from this vicinity attended the “Passion Play” laat Sunday at Rensselaer. Miss Maggie Kenton preached at Vaughn last Sunday morning and at Parr in the evening. Edward and Myrtle Gilmore attended the funeral of Mrs. Joseph Barnes at Fair Oaks last Monday. The corn around here is very good this year. It is yielding from 50 to 75 bushels to the acre. Mrs. Henkle, who has been very sick for a long time has uow almost wholly recovered. v There is a gentleman around here who thinks he knows the power of a magnet. He says it is a young lady who can draw a gentleman thirteen miles and a half every Sunday of his life.
