Trouble Over Turkeys.

Constable-Vick went out south 4 miles, Monday, arrested Charles Patrick, on complaint of Jim Rodgers. Patrick’s turkeys trespassed on Rodgers’ land, and he raised a row with Patrick, and the latter flung a rock at Rodgers. Patrick was charged with assault, and tried on Tuesday, morning, before Squire Burnham. He was fined $1 and costs, or about $14.60, in all. He stayed the fine. Patrick then turned the tables on his neighbor 'Bodgers by charging him with provoke, and the trial also took place, that morning. It was proved that' he cussed Patrick very freely, and he was also fined $1 and costs. He refuses to pay, and has gone to jail to lay out the fine. It will be about a two weeks visit Uncle Rodgers will pay Jasper county before it is ended.
