School commenced Oct. J st. with good attendance, with Mr. Otis Kennedy and Miss Nettie Comer as teachersr. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Cox of Fair Oaks spent Saturday and Sunday with the letters parents Mr. and Mrs. John McGlinn. Hoile brothers have finished shelling corn for Mr. Hixon. Our tonsorial artist is suffering with a large boil on his neck. Died, Oct. 7th. 1899, Üba, infant daughter of Wm. and Nannie Wease aged 1 month and 14 days. Miss Maggie McGlinn gave a party in honor of her niece Miss Elba Cox a large number of invited guest were present and all report a good time. Grandma Shields is visiting her brother at Chicago who is dangerously sick. Miss Flo Smith spent a few days with relatives and friends here last week, after which she took her departure for New York to spend the winter. Mrs. Ben Keller Of Fair Oaks is the guest of Mrs. Lee Armstrong. Anna Middlekamp has returned home from Cedar Lake. Married at Rensselaer, Oct. 7th. 1399, Mr. John Scheutz and Miss Gusta Hazzlebnng. After the ceremony the happy couple returned to the brides home where a bountiful supper had been prepared and of which about a hundred invited guests >did ample justice. The worthy couple received very many presents. We all wish them many happy years of married life and may their pathway be stewn with flowers.
