■’ Rev. T. H. Ball, the venerable ■ nth or and retired Baptist minister, ■f Crown Point, was in town to■ay, looking up material for his ■orthcoming history of the north■vest corner of Indiana. In point ■>f territory the history will cover ■he eounties of Lake, Porter, La■’orte, Starke, Pulaski, Jasper, ■White and Newton; and the time ■severed is from 1800 to 1900. ■ Mr. Ball has been quite a vol■iminous writer and this history ■rill be his twentieth publication. ■He has written a history of Lake Bounty, a book entitled “The ■bake of Red Cedars,” being the ■veil known Cedar Lake, a history ■>f /Clarke County, Alabama, ■'Notes on St. Luke’s Gospel,” ■‘Poems and Hymns,” ‘‘Anne B.” ■‘Home of the Reeds,” and various ■mailer works. This new work, ■though partly in press now, will ■lot be finally completed until ■August 1900. ■ Mr. Ball became a resident of ■the borders of Cedar Lake in 1837. ■He is now 73 years old, but is re■markably active man for his years.
