Obituary.
William Burr, son of Burr and Mollie Sheffer, was bom in (Milo, August 24th. 1870 and departed this life Sept. 30, 1899. With kis parents he moved to lowa and from thenoe to Nebraska where he united with the Presbyterian church in the Spring of 1891. He ever sinoe has been a faithful and con sis tan t ohristain. He was esteemed and loved by all who knew him. In his death his parents lose an affectionate son and the children a loving brother and church a valuable worker but we trust that our loss is heaven’s gainWe ought to remember that the Son of man oometh in an hour when we are least expecting him. The funeral services held at Vaugn ohurch conducted by the writer in the presence of a large concourse of sympathizing friends. Brother and Sister Sheffer wish to thank the neighbors for their kindness shown them iu this very sad and trying ordeal of the death of their son We are often reminded of the words of the poet who wrote; With friends on earth. We meet In gladness. While swift the moments fly, But ever comes the thought of sadness, When we must say good-bye. but the better thought is in the chorus of the song: We’ll never say good-by In heaven. We’ll never say good- bve, For In that land ot Joy and song. We’ never say good-bye.
