UNION NEWS.

Heavy fronts. Corn drying rapidly. Husking has already begun. Apples were injured by the hail. Schools all in good working order. Isaac V. Alter has gone to Clinton County to visit with his brother and son. Plenty of hay being shipped from Parr. S. P. Thompson is having an addition to the town laid off in lots. Wm Wilcox and Ed Miller have bought the old Hall farm. Very little fall wheat being sown owing to the lack of seed and failures of last year. The gravel road is being pushed by a force of from 20 to 27 teams d aily.
