“Don’t you wish you were a polar bear?” asked the perspiring friend. “No,” gently answered the man who has had so much hard luck he has become humble. “I don’t wish I were a polar bear. If I were it would be my luck to be one who has to live to a zoological garden and wonder whether the keeper is going to put any fresh water in his four-by-seven basin.
