The Tax Rate Next Year.

The gravel roads of Marion township will be paid for this year and the tax levy will be reduced 40 cents on the SIOO for that reason. The county taxes will be scents lead, and the total city tax will be 15 cents less. This makes a total reduction in the tax rate in Rensselaer oi 60 cenis and the total tax here, including all kinds of state, county township and city tax will be $2,45 on the SIOO assessedd valuation. Now considering our excellent but necessarily expensive school system, our waterworks, electric lights and improved streets, the tax in Rensselaer will not be specially high.
