Uncle Mac’s Sale.
McCoy & McDonald’s sale at McCoysburg drew a big crowd, last Saturday, estimated at 500 or 600 people. They bought a good deal and they also ate a good deal, Of cattle 430 head were sold, at satisfactory prices. The sheep did not sell well. Only about 100 were sold, and of these Uncle Mao bought back the greater portion. The amount of the eating is partly measured by 5 muttons, one entire beef, and 330 loaves of bread. Besides this some 50 persons "too tony” as Uncle Mao says, to eat his free hand-outs, took dinners at the hotel, at 25 cents each.
