Warden Harley Resigns.

The resignation of Charky Harley, of Delphi, for four years past warden of the state prison, at Michigan City, was yesterday received by Governor Mount. The action taken is a cause of sincere regret to all members of the board of managers, as Mr. Harley’s administration has been most satisfactory in every respect. It is taken solely because of the condition of Mrs. Harley’s health which demands that she must leave that climate, at least for a time. It is not improbable that the resignation will not be accepted, but that some arrangement may be made whereby Mr. Harley will be granted a leave of absence and still retain His position. This will depend largely on Mr. Harley’s wishes, and a meeting of the board has been called at Indianapolis for next Tuesday, to consider the matter.
