Telegraphic Weather Predictions.
Rensselaer will, hereafter, receive the weather bureau’s predictions by telegraph, when anything unusual is on tap, in the weather line. The following to this effect, from the Indianapolis section of the weather bureau having just been received by Postmaster Meyer: Indianapolis, Ind., Aug. 22,1899. Sir: — I am instructed by the Chief of the Weather Bureau to inform you that when the conditions are favorable for storms and coldwaves of unusual severity, your office will be notified by telegraph, and you are respectfully requested to give the information, when received, the widest distribution possible in your community.
