A New Telephone Line.

Rensselaer has just received a very notable addition to its outside telephone connections. The Halleck Brothers extensive telephone system has at last been extended to Rensselaer the last connection having been completed, today. The Rensselaer office and telephone is located in the Makeever House. This system connects with all Jasper county towns north of Rensselaer, and also with all|plaoes of an importance in Lake and Porter counties, and many in LaPorte and Starke; and its scope is being rapidly extended to other counties. The toll rate between all Jasper county points reached is only ten cents.
