The village of Quehello, France,- was destroyed by fire. During July there were 672 deaths in Havana, against 2,083 in 1898. Andrew Carnegie will establish a new library at Keighley, Yorkshire. Believed that Thomas Salisbury, found drowned at Mt. Vernon, Ohio, was murdered. Mrs. Catharine Casa and 16-months-old child, Detroit, were burned to death by the explosion of kerosene.
