Struck By Lightning.
The severe electrical storm Wednesday did considerable damage through this part, of the country. The residence on the old Stockton farm five and a half miles north, occupied by W. Augspurger was struck by lightning and the bulding set on fire but the flames were speedily extinguished. Mr. Augspurger, Hortio Ropp and Alex Hurley, who were stacking oats there, were sitting on the poroh when the lightening struck. The two latter were stunned but Mr. Ropp receieved a more severe shock, being quite prostrated but it is thought that neither will experience any serious results. Joe Williams who occupies a farm six miles north was a severe loser, his barn was struck and burned together with a team of horses harness, wagon, buggy and some grain. Both buildings were insured in the Continental for amounts covering the loss. The home of James H. Culp, of Hanging Grove tp, was also struok and very badly damaged. All the members of his family were in the house but fortunately none were hurt. His loss is covered by insurance.
