Old Settlers’ Meeting.

It has been suggested that the grove on Van Rensselaer street near Judge Thompson’s residence would be a much more convenient and pleasant place to hold Old Settlers’ Meeting than the Phillips grove. This location can be secured on the condition that no teams be driven onto the grounds, and as it is but five minutes walk from the center of town, with a good side walk all the way it would undoubtedly be much the best. It would also be a good idea to make provision for the checking of all baskets at the court house, so that those who come will be free to enjoy themselves without the bother of taking care of or losing their dinners. It is expected that fully three t honsand people wiil be present. Those having the work in charge will meet Saturday to complete final arrangements.
