BLACKFORD Jessie Jenkins’ new well is completed. v Miss Margarette Henkle is still quite sick. Miss Maud Selienburger of Ohio is visiting relatives in this viciinty. Most of the faimers ar6 through harvesting and are ready for 'the threshing machines. Mrs Ellen Culp of Lee and daughter of Ohio are visiting Sam Price for the present. Mrs Sarah Platt of Rensselaer visited relatives at Blackford and vicinity last week. Jim Hurley has gone to lowa to work on the rail road. Jim is a bright and industrious boy. Miss Nettie Mallat who has been working for Elias Arnolds returned to her home at Fair Oaks, Monday, Mrs. Charles Reed spent a part of last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. James Meyers of DeMotte z Mr. Dan Lakins and Miss Lena Swaim were married last Saturday evening at the brides home, Mr, and Mrs. James Swaim.
