Harvest and hay making order of the day, Henry Randle has his new house finished. Mrs. Nathan Eldredge is slowly recovering. Miss Mattie Rusk is visiting relatives and friends in Illinois. Fred Gurtner, or Wabash, is the guest of his uncle, J. N. Sample. Mrs. Jane Shaw is quite sick at the home of Mrs. Jennie English Miss Bessie Kimble, of Giliam, •was the guest of Cora Smith over Sunday. Quite a number of young people from Giliam attended ohurch in Barkley Sunday evening. Boys, boys, that will never do to see all these girls get new buggies and go by themselves they look lonesome as well as you do. • About 175 of neighbors and friends met at the home of Mr. and Mr. Henry Randle last Saturday evening to surprise them as they returned from Rensselaer, where they been spending the day. loe ' cream and cake was served in abundance. Every one had a very pleasant time.
