Wants Fire Districts Made.

Editor Republican: If the city council would divide the city into, say districts as follows: All west and south of Vine st. District No. 1. All south of Washington and Cedar streets, District No. 2, All north of Cedar and Washington and east of Cullen and Forest streets and south of the railroad,. District No. 3. All north of the river, Washington st. and west of.. Cullen and Forest streets and south of railroad, District No. 4. All north of the railroad, > District No. 5. After the whistle has given the alarm then it should give one sound for district No. 1. 2 sounds for district No. 2 and so on through the list. This would avoid confusion and would be a signal for the assembling of belated firemen. The whistle was a success as it scared the women and came near causing some little children to

have convulsions.
