A Notable Bridal Couple.
The following dispatch from Danville, 111., appeared Thursday in the Chicago Inter Ocean. Danville, 111., June 14th. Joseph C. English, aged 79, president of the first national bank of this eity, and Mrs. Mary Forbes, a wealthy and prominent w< man of the Trinity Episcopal church, were married today at high noun at the church by the Rev. Mr. Rrockstrotli. Mr. English has been connected with the First National bank ever since it was organized, and is well known throuh out eastern Illinois. H*' has just recently returned from the west, where he owns considerable mining property. Mr. and Mrs. English left soon after the ceremony for Chicago. Mr. English, the groom above mentioned, is the father of Dr. E. C. English, of our city. He and his bride arrived here Thursday night, for a few days visit with bis son and family. Mr. English is not only a bank president but is a large owner of valuable mines in the west and is very wealthy. His years though many, have dealt lightly with him and he is still hale and active. His bride is just half bis own age, and as attractive in appearance as she is reputed wealthy and prominent in society.
