Prof. Sparling’s Growing Prominence.

Last Sunday’s Milwaukee Sentinel contains a long article regarding the coming meeting of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, heretofore mentioned in this paper, and of which league our ex-townsman, Prof. S. E. Sparling, of Wisconsin University is the secretary and principal organizer. In connection with the article is a two column portrait of Prof. Sparling, and it also quotes at great length from a circular recently issued by him; which quotations are prefaced by the following personal mention of the young and rising professor: “The league was born largely through the efforts of Prof. Sparling who is its secretary. Prof. Sparling lectures on administration in the university, and gives a part of his course to municipal problems. He studied these questions in a course covering several years at the Universities of Berlin and Halle in Germany and is an authorty on these subjects.
