Another Wheatfield Case.

There is an epidemic of litigation prevailing at Wheatfield just now, and Squire Burnham of Rensselaer is catching the overflow, in frequent doses. Another case from there, was tried Monday afternoon. Wm. Jackson was charged with provoke, by Ed. Clark. It seems the party had a row over a settlement for some painting, and both had been fined for. assault and battery. Clark wasn’t satisfied with that,. and charged Jackson with provoke. Squire Burnham fined him $1 and costs, but in view of his previous fine in Wheatfield, the squire remitted this last fine and the costs also.
