Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 20, Number 81, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 13 June 1899 — A Poor Farm Superintendent. [ARTICLE]

A Poor Farm Superintendent.

Last Saturday the county commissioners, as the new JawsJrequire, contracted for a superintendent of the county poor asylum. His term will begin at the end of Mr. Hardy’s term, next Maroh, and will last until August, 1901. Their choice fell on Theodore F. Clark, of Rensselaer, and the salary is to $650 per year, but in addition to the regular duties Mr. Clark agrees to do all furniture and similar repair work, needed at the asylum, free of cost to the county. The choice of Mr. Clark will be universally commended.
