BLACKFORD. The farmers are through planting corn arouud here. Some of the farmers planted their corn when it was too wet, and the sun came out so hot it warped the rows. Misses Ada Elder and Vernie Barkley, Messrs. Frank Chupp, Fred Stepheson and Charley Elder all of Parr attended the Burns’ Sunday School Sunday. Mr. Andrew Arnold is having his house repainted. Miss Nellie Barkley who attending school at Marion, returned home Saturday. Thomas Price is able to be about again, after quite a siege of sickness. Owen Hurley is now in training for the great foot race which is to take place at Blackford Monday June 19th. .
