Uncle Dick Thompson.

A noteworthy event which occurred last Friday night at Terre Haute was the celebration of the nintieth birthday anniversary of Col. Richard Thompson under the auspicus of the Thompson club of that city. One of the most. distinguished citizens of Indiana, he has arrived to the age of four score and ten years and has full control of all his mental powers. There was not another present who can count so many years of service for his fellowmen but there were a large number of distinguished men of younger years who assisted in doing him honor.
