Uncle Isaac’s Patent Post.

Uncle x Isaac V. Alter, of Union Tp., has invented and had patented an iron fence post, of quite a novel design and one that seems to possess many features of superiority. It is designed to be practi-. cally immovable laterally and not liable to heave up from frost. The end of the post which goes into the ground is augur shaped, and it turns around on being driven into the ground, and this prevents it from heaving out, while an anchoring ring of very ingenious design prevents the moving of the post sideways. If the post can be made and sold at a price farmers will not consider too high, it would seem that Uncle Isaac’s invention is of great practical value.
