Thomas Price still remains quite Mr. Reniker is putting up a new barn. Chas. Campbell is again on the - rick list. Mrs. James Longstreth is on the stick list. Alec Hurley’s new house is nearing completion. Chester Castor is improving from bis late sickness. , The cut worms are said to be mowing the onion fields. An infant child of Samuel Williams died last Tuesday. The recent rains have stopped the ewrn planters for a few days. The Blackford band gave an open sir concert last Saturday evening.

Homer Lakin has returned from Remington were he has been working. Simon Parcell and wife, of Rensselaer visited at Samuel Price’s Sunday. Owen Hurley is touring the country buying up rags and old iron. Porah Baker and Ed Randle were seen in Blackfprd the first of the week. John Cooper and Alfred Clager started for Duluth, Minnesota Wednesday. \ There will be a speaking at the Brushwood church Sunday May 28 at 10 a. m, by four able soldier speakers concerning Memorial day.
