Fish Commissioners Resign-

“Big John” Hildebrandt, of Logansport and James 8. Patty, of Winamac, have both resigned their places as deputy fish commissioners, and now the whole northern part of the state, is without a deputy fish commissioner. It is stated that these men resigned in disgust because while they were active and vigilant in their efforts to enforce the fish laws, in all other parts of the state practically nothing was being done in that direction. During the past two years Hildebrandt and Patty have seized over 14,000 feet of seine and successfully prosecuted 78 indictments for fish law violations.

Union Township Commencement

The graduation exercises of Union township schools will be held at Fair Oaks M. E. church, on Saturday evening. May 27th. The intended graduates are Pearl McClanahan, Sadie Casey, Joe Winslow, Boy Stephenson, Alice Proudly, Leslie Alter, Edith Moffitt, and Jennie Cottingham. Besides the essays of the gradnates the exercises will be varied by music and declamations, and an address to the graduates by Mr. Jtat Foltz, ot Rensselaer.
