It is time to get ready for Children’s Day. I Union township held their semi--annual convention on Apr. 28 and was a success in every particular, perhaps in the matter of trying to get along without printed programs. Vice Pres. Perkins, the writer And wife were present and all enjoyed the exercises. New officers were elected and we certainly 4hink Union will continue to do £ood work. Our county as usual is in the Ist rank. All but two or three schools iiaye sent in fresh reports and we •will have reports from all before our ■state convention meets in June. Our apportionment is all paid so 00. Treas. Hollingsworth writes me. We are more than glad to ■(know this as the deficiency greatly handicaps the work we might do liad we a full treasury, we need -snore state workers. Illinois supports eight and raises ten thousand dollars per year. We certainly ought not to be very far in the nrear of our sister state. We are -ahead of them on Home Dept, work however. The state only asks us to coptribnte two cents per member. Now everybody make up your minds to get a copy of the minutes •of the International Convention held at Atlanta 6a., last week. Some of the most stirring speeches were made, some of the most interesting conferences were held, Aome of the holiest consecration meetings were held that Hod’s •children were ever premitted to I Attend and all will be reported in ihe minutes, •Our State Pres, said of the International convention that he had
got over fifty speeches out of it and that it was good for as many more.
