NORTH BARKLEY. Miss Kittie Callahan is on the sick list. fv. Taylor Woods, of Parr, did busi- 1 ness in this vicinity Tuesday. James Meyers is visiting in Hoopston, 111., this week. Pete Hordeman is shelling corn for B. J. Gifford at Headquarters. Tom Glynn has gone to Rantoul, 111., where he will work at carpentering. Corn planting began Monday. Wheel hoes are on the go in the onion patch. One of our young ladies was seen | examining a gasoline cook stove in Rensselaer Saturday. We wonder if it is to be used in the new house . at Comer, we wonder Eli? Misses Daisy , Belle and Zelma —and several other young people went fishing Wednesday night. All they caught was suckers and they were on the wrong end of ' string. I % y - p|| Clara Zook gave her many friends a party Monday it being her birthfUgday. Many young people were there, all went home wishing her many more such happy birthdays. Quite a crowd of young people assembled at the home of Aaron Seitz Sunday.
