“Lord, Mother, Look Here!”

Is what Uncle Robert Kepner said Wednesday evening when a delegation of old soldiers and Women’s Relief Corps members were discovered marching into his place about 6 o’clock that evening. After the above note of warning Uncle Robert fell back on his reserves in good order. The old soldiers and corps members did not propose to let Comrade Kepner and his wife es cape so easily as they expected, from the penalties of having been married fifty years that day. Uncle Robert was more soared than hurt, however, for the intention of the invaders were entirely placific, as they at once proceeded to demonstrate. They set out a big supper and that disposed of, spent some time in general conversation. On their departure the comrades presented Mr. Kepner with a fine suit of clothes, and the ladies of the corps gave Mrs. Kepner an elegant dress.
