Common Sense Suggestions.
When Doc. Hurty gets away frbm the subject of microbes, bacteria and the like, he is as sensible as anybody. He has lately declared himself against a practice now so common in the schools, of cramming the pupils. The fact that nervous disorders are becoming each day more prevalent among school children is a matter which should receive attention. Ambition to excel, coupled with a highly nervous organization, often leads the pupil to an application which proves to be too great a strain, and eventually results in injury to the health of the pupil. Teachers and parents should pay more attention to this and let them run the lesser risk of being devoured by microbes.
