Death of Thomas E. Allison.
The following regarding a late resident of Walker township is from the Winamac Republican: “The remains of Thomas E. Allison were brought from Jasper county Tuesday afternoon, and interred here after services at the Christian church by Rev. W. B. Lowe. His death came as a very sudden summons; he was at work on his farm Saturday, but died at noon Sunday—from congestion of the brain. He was an old railroad telegrapher and agent, having held the latter position here for several years until 1891, when he quit railroad service. They went to Remington for a time, then ran a Francesville drug store, and then a year ago, to the farm some ten miles west of Medaryville where he died. His age was fortysix years.”
