Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 20, Number 66, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 21 April 1899 — Indiana Wheat Conditions. [ARTICLE]
Indiana Wheat Conditions.
Reports to the state bureau of statistics show that wheat is not in good conditions in some counties. John B. Conner, chief of the bureau, says he does not think the reports are a true indication of the general condition of the crop throughout the state. The poor condition, he thinks, may be due to the unfavorable weather for growth of wheat. The reports are based on a standard of 100 per cent, for the Indiana. In this county reports vary, but on the whole there is a fair prospec K for a pretty good crop.
